Gruppo di punta del new world beat italiano. Unisce la tradizione musicale e gli strumenti tipici dell’Italia settentrionale alla club culture, con un’immagine glamorous  e una grande attenzione al dancefloor. Il loro concerto al femminile è intenso, potente e divertente. Ha pubblicato due album distribuiti in tre continenti, il primo, “1.0”, per l’etichetta italiana Mescal, il secondo, “Home”, per l’americana Omnium. E’ composto da Fiamma, voce; Lady Jessica Lombardi, piva emiliana, flauti, basso elettrico; Medhin Paolos, dj; Alberto Cottica, fisarmonica, chitarra acustica, pianoforte. Leading Italian New World Beat band. Blends the musical tradition and instruments of Northern Italy with club culture, with a glamorous image and an attitude that pays great attention to the dancefloor. They deliver live performances that are intense, powerful, feminine and definitely fun. They released two albums distributed over three continents, the first one for the Italian label Mescal, the second one for the American label Omnium. Cantante e polistrumentista inglese. Giovanissimo, ha pubblicato nel 2003 il suo album di debutto “Sweet England” realizzato a casa, con il computer comprato con la borsa di studio che spetta agli studenti universitari britannici meritevoli. Un investimento ad alto rendimento: l’album ha ricevuto ben quattro nominations (miglior album, migliore artista, miglior canzone, miglior debutto) ai BBC Folk Awards del 2003. Jim suona in Italia per la prima volta.

Singer and versatile English musician. Very young, he released in 2003 his debut album “Sweet England” recorded at home, with the computer he bought on his student loan money. An investment that showed very high returns: the album received four nominations (best album, best artist, best song, best debut) at the BBC 2003 Folk Awards. Jim performs in Italy for the first time ever.

Il più importante dj "etnico" del nostro paese. Napoletano, Stefano Miele esordisce a metà degli anni 90 come dj drum'n'bass e breakbeat, e nel 1998 ottiene una clamorosa hit remixando il singolo-tormentone "Acida", dei Prozac+. Oggi ricerca la fusione tra musica elettronica internazionale e i suoni della tradizione musicale del sud Italia; questa ricerca si esprime al suo meglio nel suo album "Flux" del 2002 (in cui figura un divertente featuring di Caparezza).
 
The most important "ethnic" dj in Italy. Neapolitan, Stefano Miele started as drum'n'bass-breakbeat dj in the mid-90s, and he had a smash hit in 1998. Today he works at integrating the musical tradition of Southern Italy within international electronic music: this research is best expressed in his latest album, "Flux".

Piper, violinista e dj scozzese. Fin dai primi anni 90 ha cominciato a suonare musica tradizionale sopra grooves elettronici che lui stesso programmava, raggiungendo livelli di assoluta eccellenza. Una grave malattia lo ha costretto a sospendere l’attività concertistica. Ora è tornato, nella nuova veste di dj, con un nuovo album (“Grit”, pubblicato dalla RealWorld). New World Beat è il secondo concerto della sua nuova vita, dopo l’apertura del concerto-evento unico del suo amico e ammiratore Peter Gabriel a Bath a novembre 2003.

Piper, fiddler and dj from Scotland. He began playing traditional music over grooves that he himself programmed in the early 90s, soon reaching world-class. A serious illness has prevented him from performing live for some years. Now he is back, in the new role of dj, with a new album (“Grit”, released by RealWorld). New World Beat will be his second-ever performance as a dj, after the opening of the Bath unique event of his friend and admirer Peter Gabriel in november 2003.
