FIAMMA FUMANA
 
Martyn Bennett è un po' il padre della scena "etnica digitale" (il suo primo disco con cornamusa ed elettronica è del 1996) ed è un punto di riferimento per tutti noi. Aveva accettato con entusiasmo di venire in Italia per New World Beat, e Amanda della Real World ci ha detto che stava perfino preparandosi le presentazioni dei brani in italiano. Purtroppo, la malattia di cui soffre da anni gli ha impedito all'ultimo momento di venire. Ci ha telefonato per darci la notizia, ed era davvero triste e avvilito. Benvenuto a bordo al bravissimo Stefano Miele, il più importante dj "etnico" del nostro paese e ai suoi grooves del sud Italia, che prenderà posto in consolle dopo i concerti di Jim Moray e dei Fiamma Fumana.
 
Dedichiamo a Martyn questa prima edizione di New World Beat. Guarisci presto, e troviamoci a fare musica insieme. 

Martyn Bennett is in some sense the father of the digital traditional scene (his first album with pipes and electronica was released in 1996) and is a reference point for us all. He had accepted with enthusiasm our invitation to New World Beat, and Amanda of Real World told us he had even been practising his introductions to the set in Italian! Unfortunately, at the last moment the illness he has been suffering from for some years prevented him to come. He called us to give us the bad news, and he was really sad and depressed. Welcome aboard to Stefano Miele, the most important Italian "ethnic" dj, who will play his Southern Italian grooves set after Jim Moray's and Fiamma Fumana's gigs.
 
We dedicate this first edition of New World Beat to Martyn. Get well, and let's get together to make some music soon.
